Wireless routers are devices that lets you connect to the internet from anywhere. Some people require a printer along with router while working to reduce problems. For this, one must first learn to connect both of them. There are many ways by which you can do this.
Firstly, the easiest way is to buy a printer which has an inbuilt wireless router. This reduces the problems of installation and will also be simple and user friendly. This is also comparatively less expensive. Secondly, if the wireless router is connected to a printing server, the computer can be synchronised with the printer.
Finally, you can also set up a Local Area Network (LAN) between the printer and the wireless router. To set up a connection between your wireless router and the printer, the printer must first be connected to the computer. This can be done from the control panel on the computer. There will be an option to add new devices and printers can be selected from that option.
Once it is added, it can now be connected to the wireless router. If the printer is still not getting connected, then try turning off your firewall and give it another try.
Another way of connecting a wireless router and a printer is through USB cable connection. For this purpose one must make sure that the printer already has a specialised USB port only for this purpose.
Similarly, the router must also have a USB port. This method of connection is very easy and simple. After this, the printer has to be configured properly. This has to be done carefully because otherwise it may not be able to print anything. Most of the printers come along with an instruction manual and therefore one can easily configure it by following the manual.
However, if you do not want to take any chances, then you can hire someone who can do it. Finally, the printer can now be plugged to the USB port of the router. This completes the installation process.
