The SMC SMCWBR14-3GN Wireless Router is a high performance router with 10/100 Base-T interface.
The WLAN standards supported are IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11n and IEEE 802.11g. The offered 802.11g data transmission rates include 54 Mbps, 48 Mbps, 36 Mbps, 24 Mbps, 28 Mbps, 12 Mbps, 9 Mbps, 6 Mbps, 5.5 Mbps, 2 Mbps and 1 Mbps, while the 802.11b data rates are 11 Mbps, 5.5 Mbps, 2 Mbps and 1 Mbps. OFDM, CCK, QPSK, BPSK, DBPSK, DQPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM and DSSS are modulation techniques used in this wireless router.
The interfaces of the router include 1 10/100Mbps WAN port, 1 USB 2.0 Type A port and 4 10/100Mbps LAN ports. It comes with three 2dBi fixed antennas, WPS button, 3G On/off buttons, WLAN On/Off button, Reset button and AP/Router mode switch. The management /configuration/tools provided are HTTP web management, configuration kit, DDNS, SNTP and UPnP. The QoS offered are WiFi Multimedia (WMM –802.11e), Bandwidth QoSmanagement and Traffic QoS management.
The WAN connections include DHCP, PPPoE, Static IP, L2TP, USB type high speed modem (3G) and Bigpond. The LAN connections include DHCP server for LAN IP assignment. With data link protocols of Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0), the supported switching protocol is Ethernet and the transport protocols are TCP/IP, PPPoE and DHCP. HTTP is the remote management protocol, while the routing protocol is static IP routing.
