Thomson TG585N Draft 2.0 ADSL2+ Wireless Router is one of the latest models of Thomson which offers Wireless Distribution System support for extensive wireless coverage. Interfaces provided in this device are 1 LAN port and 4 Ethernet (RJ45) ports. LED indicators are provided for all the interface ports.
The specifications of the modem are ITU-T G. 992.5 Annex A, B, M with a maximum speed rate of 24 Mbps for downstream and 3 Mbps for up stream. This device operates at a frequency of 2.4 GHz with a typical indoor coverage of 120m. It provides dynamic rate switching and manual/auto selection WiFi mode. The routing features include PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), PPP over ATM (PPPoA), Classical IP (CIP) and Ethernet over ATM (ETHoA).
This Thomson wireless router provides ICSA grade security services. It has built in firewall with web GUI, WPA TKIP/AES, 128 bit WEP, SSID Broadcast and Access Control List. The device supports operating systems such as Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP, Mac OS 8.6, 9.0 and X and Unix/Linux.
This wireless router also offers remote management on demand and supports command line interface through Telnet. Its UPnP support enables various game technologies like PS2, XBOX live, Direct Play etc and also helps in conferencing functions of Microsoft messenger. The unit facilitates HTTP redirect for event notification, connection sharing with Hyper-NAT, Stateful Firewall, DHCP and DNS server, client and relay and NAT/PAT support.
Additional features include front button for WPS setup, Universal Plug and Play support and downloadable software upgrade. It also allows for auto-provisioning and firmware upgrade using TR-069 and even allows to multiple users to share a single IP address on the same ADSL connection
The languages supported are English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese and Swedish. It is WiFi Certified and the unit also supports PPPoX to PPTP and PPPoX to DHCP relay.
The package includes a power adaptor, Ethernet and telephone cable with RJ45 and RJ11 specifications respectively. A setup CD and a printed instruction leaflet are also provided with the device. Jig, screws and plugs are also provided for wall mounting.
The device works on 100-120V AC/220-240V AC, 50-60Hz frequency. It can withstand a temperature ranging from 0 to 40 C and humidity range from 20% to 80%.The Thomson TG585N Draft 2.0 Router is therefore a product which offers superior wireless broadband sharing facility.

Thomson TG587N Wireless Router operates at a frequency of 2.4GHz and has a typical indoor coverage of 120m enabling access to your internet at any point under this range. It supports Manual/auto selection WiFi mode (802.11g only, mixed, 802.11b/g only) and wireless distribution sytem (WDS).
For security, Thomson has loaded this router with features like ICSA grade security service, Embedded Firewall, 802.1x/PSK WPA (WPA-PSK), 64/128bit WEP encryption, Wireless client registration/access control (with physical push button), SSL, and SSH. Thomson TG587N 120m Wireless Router has routing features such as PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), PPP over ATM (PPPoA), Classical IP (CIP) and Ethernet over ATM (ETHoA).
Interfaces supported by this unit are LAN, WAN, 4 x Ethernet (RJ45) ports and 2 USB 2.0 Master Ports. Wireless standards to which this product complies are IEEE 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n draft 2.0. Game technologies (PS2, XBox live, Direct Play etc) and conferencing functions of Microsoft Messenger are realized in this router with UPnP support.
Service Web GUI is made possible via HTTP and HTTPS. OS independent web based (Wireless) Home Network Install Wizard makes it easy to get started with the product.
