The all new EnGenius NET-EL-ESR-9710 Wireless Router is an 
efficient router/gateway that comes with four LAN ports. The device offers a high speed data transmission of up to 300Mbps.
The router is supported with IEEE 802.11n draft compliant and is compatible with 802.11b/g. It supports DNS, DDNS, NAT (Network Address Translation) and NAPT. The firewall features of the router include virtual server mapping, DMZ, IP filter, ICMP blocking and SPI.
This wireless router features 802.1x authentication, 802.11i, (WPA/WPA2, AES), VPN pass-thru mechanisms, WDS (Wireless Distribution System), Universal Plug and Play (UPnP™), Filter Scheduling, Real time alert and Web configuration.
It is capable of handling MPEG video streaming and is completely interoperable with IEEE 802.11b/g/n devices. The unit is able to make wireless AP and bridge mode at a time as a wireless repeater. It works well with most of the internet gaming and messaging applications. It is also helpful to the administrators to configure the router via Telnet/web browser. Other features include avoidance of disallowed users sharing bandwidth, avoidance of the attacks of Hackers or Viruses from Internet, mutual authentication (Client and dynamic encryption keys to enhance security and detection of a list for Hacker log-in information.
It comes with Ubicom IP5K, 275MHz MCU and a DDR memory with a capacity of 16MB. It has a 4 MB flash memory and comes with a Mini-PCI expansion slot too. The interfaces supported are WAN: One 10/100/1000 Gigabit RJ-45 and LAN: Four 10/100/1000 Gigabit RJ-45. The router includes a reset button (1 second for Reboot, 5 second for Reset to Factory Default), power jack JTAG (for debug only) and LED’s for status indication.
It requires a power supply of 90 to 240 VDC ± 10. The frequency range supported is 2.400~2.484 GHz. It supports CSMA/CA media access protocol and the modulation methods of the wireless router are OFDM: BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM and DBPSK, DQPSK and CCK.
The included antenna has a gain level of 2dBi and the average gain is about 1.08dBi (@ 2.45GHz, H-Plan). The LAN connection of the router supports DHCP Server, Static IP, DNS, UPNP and the WAN with Static IP, DHCP Client, PPPoE, PPTP, Clone MAC, DNS Relay and DDNS-8 Verified.
The EnGenius NET-EL-ESR-9710 300Mbps Wireless Router also features intelligent stream handling/wireless intelligent stream handling, automatic traffic classification & prioritization, ¾ dynamic traffic shaping & packet fragmentation and ¾ automatic configuration. The firewall features include Blocking Ping, ICMP Bolcking, SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection), Rule Based (IP Address Ranges, Port Ranges & Schedule), DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) Host, Policy Based Parental Controls, ¾ time-based internet access, ¾ port range / service filtering, ¾ internet domain restriction, ¾ dynamic URL filtering and VPN pass-through.
This wireless router comes with 64/128 bit WEP Encryption, WPA Personal (WPA-PSK using TKIP or AES), WPA Enterprise (WPA-EAP using TKIP), 802.1x Authenticator, Hide SSID in beacons, WiFi Protection Setup and Auto Channel Selection.
It also enables administrator password change and idle time out. The reset settings supported are Reset to Factory Default and Reboot. Other features include Status and Statistics, Time Zone & NTP Client, Event Log and Email Alarm.
