Netgear introduces the new Netgear WNR834B Wireless Router 
that has various amazing features to support wireless connectivity to internet. It supports wired connectivity too. This device has built in antenna to provide the connection easily. It offers consistent bandwidth, allowing you to download, stream and even transfer files
The dimensions of this device are 17.2cm (W) x 3.9cm (D) x 22.3cm (H) and it weighs about 0.6kg. There is an integrated four port switch provided on the router.
The SmartWizard helps to install and setup the router by automatically detecting and configuring the router for all ISP connections. Requirements that have to be satisfied to set up the router are as follows- Broadband Internet service and modem with Ethernet connection, a 2.4 GHz 802.11n draft or 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/ g wireless adapter or an Ethernet adapter and cable for each computer. It supports Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista, Mac OS, UNIX, or Linux operating systems. Application software required to fulfil the needs of the router are Internet Explorer 5.0 or Netscape 4.7 or higher. The company recommends WN311B or WN511B RangeMax NEXT Wireless Adapters for this device. WEP (64 or 128 bit) and WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK are the wireless encryption methods.
This wireless router provides a data transfer speed of 270 Mbps. It works on 2.4GHz frequency band. The data link protocols of this router are Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11n (draft). Ethernet is the network switching protocol used.
Security need is satisfied with Double Firewall protection, Denial of Service (DoS) attack prevention, Intrusion Detection and Prevent (IDS), Wireless Access Control to identify authorized wireless network devices, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), URL filtering and MIMO technology.
